THANK GOD! It has been 1 year since Aidan's accident and the worst day (and the next three) of our lives! It was so scary, but through it all God gave us such a sense of peace. I never really understood "peace that passes all understanding".
For those of you who may not know...December 29, 2007, Aidan was two months old and his sweet Daddy was trying to get him a bottle because his Mama was gone. Jeff was testing the milk on his wrist and Aidan wiggled and fell on to the kitchen floor.
Aidan got a CAT Scan that showed he had two scull fractures and bleeding on his brain. He and I flew to St. Mary's Hospital by helicopter. He was in the NICU (baby ICU) for two nights and then on the pediatric floor for one night.
Our family and friends were (and always are) so amazing. We were never alone and everyone took such good care of us when were were at the hospital and after we got home. Thank you all!! We love you!
This summer Aidan had a follow up CAT Scan (he and I actually had one each the same day!) that revealed that his injury's are completely healed! He was in a lot of pain for about two months, but since then he has had no problems at all!
It is hard to believe that I have been scared for my sons life and my own all in one year! Thank you Jesus for being so faithful and bringing us through these times!

As I mentioned on facebook, these pics bring tears to my eyes. I didn't even actually know you guys when this all happened, I just heard the story through Sarah. And of course, I had been praying for you throughout your pregnancy with Aidan as I knew you were going through the same things I was while I was preggo with Mason. I am just so glad that God carried you through that hard time & that you were blessed by His peace. You are now that much stronger & your faith is that much fuller. Aidan is such a gem & I'm happy that he's whole & healed one year later!
Blessings,

Hey I found your blog through someone else's page... it's been quite a while since I've seen you guys. Your little Aiden is adorable. I heard what happened a little while ago with him last year. I'M so glad that he is fine. I hope you enjoyed your Christmas. I'm sure next year for us will be a lot of fun when Micah actually knows what's going on and isn't sleeping during present opening :)
Eveytime I see these pics, I tear up. The song fits perfectly!! What a difference a year makes. I'm glad Aidan healed perfectly. Can't wait to meet him!
